I was broken and alone,
Separated from the Holy One.
My path was uncertain,
The ground beneath me giving way.
But then You met me where I was,
For You would not let me accept defeat.
Oh Lord Jesus, You are my Savior.
You rescued me from agony and pain,
From a world that led me astray,
From walking paths that were not Your own,
And losing sight of the way to Your throne.
I stared into a future I could no longer see,
Wondering if there was still a purpose left for me.
My mind was filled with darkness,
My heart consumed by fear.
Though I felt abandoned, Lord,
You were always near.
When I couldn’t find the strength
To face another day,
You reminded me that I was loved
And never turned away.
I thought my story’s pages
Had come to an end,
But You were writing something new,
My Savior and my Friend.
That was who I was then,
But now I am being made new.
The old me might have surrendered,
Allowing the world’s lies
To shape my view.
I have faced challenges through changing circumstances,
Yet my eyes remain fixed on Jesus,
Knowing He stands beside me
No matter the trial.
Time and time again,
You have proven You will never leave me.
Even when I could not see the way,
Your love was there to lead me.
Instead of surrendering to my circumstances,
I draw closer to You
And discover the purpose You have for my life.
Your Word teaches me to submit to You,
To trust the path You lead me through.
When I acknowledge You in all I do,
You make my paths straight.
You guide me according to Your will,
And with You beside me,
No hill is too great to climb.
Trying to walk apart from Jesus
Leads only to hurt, brokenness, and sorrow.
To loneliness, despair,
And an empty tomorrow.
But when you walk with God,
You begin to see His love everywhere.
The truth is, Lord,
I am lost without You.
There is nothing in this life
If I do not glorify Your name
In everything I do.
My mission is to be a faithful steward,
A follower of the One
Who died for my sins,
Rose again in victory,
And forever changed my life.
Amen.
